Networks to action: restoration of high mountain ecosystems
Where do we work?
We work in an area that has been historically degraded but still has remnants of paramo and elfin forest. Small nature reserves are the last strongholds of these highly diverse and endemic ecosystems, but they need better connectivity to ensure pollinator movement and persistence.
In this map, we highlight the main land covers of our study area with different colors. Polygon lines indicate special management areas and yellow circles show study sites located in privately-owned nature reserves, which are our main partners in this restoration project.
